That is amazing! And yes, keep it away from the cats. One of mine came to sit on my lap when I was knitting the stole, and I took a deep breath and peeled him off without my fainting, LOL. :)
Gorgeous! You definitely need a cat-free zone for it to live in. Someplace accessible, though, so you can get to your shawl often and prance around in it.
