Getting there...

I've started the edging! I've started the edging! The dishes are piled in precarious stacks and the cats are complaining about the cat hair all over the floor, but I've started the edging on the Tina Shawl!

The end is in sight, as much as an end can be in sight when there are a few hundred rows of edging blocking the view. It's exciting enough that it might even counteract my urge to cast on something new.

Speaking of something new, I tried a second sweater swatch on smaller needles (4.5 mm) because the first swatch (5.0 mm needles) seemed so...flat. When I realized the new swatch was way too small, I nearly gave up on using the yarn for this pattern until I found out that Claude the cow-cat had lain on swatch #1 while it was being blocked. So there is still hope.

Gotta go...the Nyquil is kicking in.

Wahoo! Coming along so beautifully. And there may be miles to go before you sleep, but it is a nice milestone . . .
